Efrat Sudai is an experienced, professionally trained practitioner of traditional Japanese acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Efrat specialises in women’s health (fertility and IVF treatment) and cosmetic acupuncture. She has worked for 7 years in sports medicine, training under the Australian Japanese Acupuncture representative in Brisbane, Alan Jansson, and treating professional athletes. Efrat’s background in bodywork (remedial massage) gives her style a gentle and intuitive touch.
Efrat holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture and an Advanced Diploma of Health Science in Acupuncture. She also holds a Certificate in Infant Acupuncture, Certificate in IVF & Fertility, Certificate in Cosmetic Acupuncture and has a background in various Body Work Therapies. Efrat also trained in Sports Medicine completing 7 years of clinical internship.
She has a special interest in infertility (including IVF support), pregnancy and other gynecological issues such as menopause, endometriosis, pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS) and pre-conception care to assist couples to prepare for a healthy pregnancy. Efrat also treats a wide variety of other health problems that respond well to acupuncture and Chinese medicine, including anxiety and depression, insomnia, addictions, immune problems, headaches/migraine, musculoskeletal problems (such as arthritis, joint problems, muscle pain, sciatica), fatigue and digestive complaints (such as IBS, constipation, ulcerative colitis). Her acupuncture technique is gentle and effective and she may incorporate moxibustion (heat therapy), as well as nutritional medicine and dietary therapy – depending on the needs of each individual patient and their presenting health problem(s).
